As always, the orchestra issues its annual “open call” inviting drum ensembles from all backgrounds to compete, and the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza resounds in a vast sea of drums—not only for the finals of the Chinese Drumming Category for the Primary School Group and Open Group but also when other award-winning teams take their turn.
